The saga of contract negotiations between the Dallas Cowboys and their three best players seems never-ending. But alas, there must be an end at some point. And as far as wide receiver CeeDee Lamb is concerned, that end is likely not far away.

When will the Cowboys and CeeDee Lamb get a deal done already?

It’s of course a little scary when the best player on your offense skips out of offseason workouts and training camp while waiting on his team to show that they understand his value. But the truth is, the holdout won’t last forever. It could last throughout all of training camp and into the preseason, but it won’t last forever, and Lamb will be suited up ready to go by gameday on September 8 with a new deal and all of this in the past.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter commented on the latest negotiation talks saying basically that.

“At some point in time, whether it’s today, next week, or next month, the deal with CeeDee Lamb is going to get done,” said Schefter. “They’re going to p this out. He’s not going to miss a game this season.”

Cowboys COO Stephen Jones has said in the last few days that they’ve offered deals to both Lamb and quarterback Dak Prescott. On Tuesday, Clarence Hill of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported that the Cowboys are much closer to sealing the deal with Lamb than Prescott. Schefter mentioned Prescott is in a “different situation”.
