The Eastern and Western Conferences have been decided and now Game 1 of the 2024 NBA Finals is almost upon us. The Dallas Mavericks and the Boston Celtics go head-to-head for the title in what will be decided over a maximum of seven games. And one of the expected stars for the Dallas team has shared his thoughts on who the best team in the league is.

Doncic highlights Celtics as number one

Speaking to the media just days before we get underway, Luka Doncic appeared keen to push the pressure over onto his Boston rivals.

“I mean, they’re the best team in the NBA,” the Slovenian said about the Celtics after coming through a convincing series against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Of course, this isn’t just him playing mind games… the numbers show that Boston are top of the NBA based on the season’s records.
